MENA Capital is a London based investment management and advisory company. Founded in 2004 by Khaled Abdel Majeed, it focuses exclusively on the stock markets of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The company manages the first hedge fund focused on this region which was launched in March 2006. The company consists of 3 investment professionals, all of whom are authorized by the Financial Services Authority in the UK. The team combines intimate knowledge of the MENA markets with experience in hedge fund investing and rigorous risk management. The company’s investment approach is based on fundamental research with a combination of top-down and bottom-up analysis. We believe this approach is well suited to a region which is volatile, and because its markets are predominantly retail-driven, tends to be inefficient with good investment and trading opportunities. As of early October 2006, the company had $25.5m of assets under management. MENA Capital is Authorized and Regulated by the Financial Services Authority. |
