KHALED ABDEL MAJEED is the founder and Managing Partner of MENA Capital. Prior to forming MENA Capital, he was initially Head of Middle East Asset Management and then Deputy Head of the Investment Management Group at Arab Bank in Dubai and London respectively. Before joining Arab Bank in 2003, Mr. Abdel Majeed was for a period of three years Chief Investment Officer at EFG-Hermes Asset Management in Cairo. Prior to joining EFG-Hermes, Mr. Abdel Majeed was for six years a director of Blakeney Management, a London-based investment management company specialising in the stock markets of the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Abdel Majeed was responsible for investments in the Arab world. Mr Abdel Majeed also worked as a Business Development Manager with Al Rajhi Banking & Investment Corp. in London where he was responsible for creating the bank’s offshore mutual funds. His experience prior to that was as a fund manager with the Olayan Group in London and an international equity analyst in New York with Drexel Burnham Lambert. Mr. Abdel Majeed received a BA in Economics from Tufts University in Boston (1981) and an MBA in Finance from Columbia University in New York (1985). |
